Overview:
An engineering and manufacturing organization serving the power generation and energy infrastructure sector is seeking a Product Engineer and Senior Product Engineer to support the design and development of packaged power generation systems. This role is heavily focused on gas turbine-driven power packages, including their mechanical and auxiliary systems, with consideration given to candidates experienced with alternative turbine or rotating equipment technologies.
Engineers in this position will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle - from concept and detailed design through manufacturing, commissioning, and field support.
Responsibilities:

- Design and develop mechanical systems for packaged power generation equipment, with a strong emphasis on gas turbine packages
- Engineer and support auxiliary systems including lubrication oil, fuel gas/liquid, hydraulics, starting systems, air intake/exhaust, structural systems, and acoustic enclosures
- Create, review, and approve engineering documentation such as drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications, and manuals
- Act as the engineering interface with manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams during new-build production
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and startup of packaged equipment
- Provide technical support during installation and field deployment, including onsite and remote troubleshooting
- Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements
- Contribute to standardization, quality improvements, and continuous product development initiatives
- Senior-level engineers will lead system architecture, mentor engineers, and drive new product or platform development
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience supporting packaged rotating equipment or power generation systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and structural drawings
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25%
Highly Preferred
- Direct experience with gas turbine packaging for power generation or industrial applications
- Hands-on involvement with auxiliary systems supporting gas turbines
- Experience supporting OEM platforms such as GE, Siemens, Solar Turbines
