Job Summary
The Junior Project Manager supports the execution of customer programs by coordinating project activities, maintaining schedules, and ensuring materials are available to support production and program milestones. This role assists senior project managers and cross functional teams in managing projects through the project lifecycle while also supporting material planning and procurement coordination.
This position serves as a communication bridge between engineering, procurement, production, and customers to ensure accurate scheduling, timely material availability, and efficient project execution. The role is intended for individuals early in their project management career who are interested in developing skills in program management, supply coordination, and cross functional operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Coordination (50%)
Support the execution of customer projects through the established project management lifecycle and organizational gating process.
Assist in maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
Maintain project documentation within the project management system, ensuring schedules, notes, and deliverables are current and accurate.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to track project progress and identify potential schedule risks.
Assist in preparing status updates for internal stakeholders and customers.
Support project planning meetings and help ensure action items are documented and completed.
Track project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans in coordination with senior project managers.
Support post project reviews and documentation of lessons learned.
Material Planning and Scheduling (35%)
Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure bills of material are released and materials are ordered in alignment with project schedules.
Monitor material status and identify potential shortages that may impact project timelines.
Assist in maintaining material planning tools and reports used to track inventory and open purchase orders.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams to support scheduling of incoming materials and production readiness.
Help maintain visibility of material availability to support accurate project scheduling.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve material planning processes and communication between teams.
Administrative and Program Support (15%)
Support project documentation including schedules, meeting notes, and project records.
Assist with maintaining organized project files and documentation required for internal processes and quality standards.
Provide general administrative support to the program management team as needed.
Support cross functional communication between departments to ensure alignment on project priorities and schedules.
Assist with other operational or program related tasks based on business needs.
Experience / Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, project management, or a related field preferred but not required.
0 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, supply chain, manufacturing, or related roles.
Internship or academic experience related to project management, operations, or supply chain is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to track complex information accurately.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams including engineering, procurement, and production.
Basic understanding of project scheduling concepts and project lifecycle management.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with project management or ERP tools is a plus.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
