Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer Level 3

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise-scale physical and virtualized infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems and AWS cloud environments.
- Lead the architectural design and governance of VMware technologies, including advanced site recovery orchestration (SRM) to ensure business continuity and automated disaster recovery.
- Plan and lead high-stakes upgrades, complex migrations, and long-term capacity expansions based on multi-year business roadmaps.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and expert-level maintenance of Windows, Linux, and IBM MQ servers, establishing the gold standards for performance, security, and high availability.
- Drive infrastructure automation initiatives using scripting and configuration management tools to standardize routine maintenance, patching, and resource monitoring.
- Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting support to resolve the most complex server and storage-related issues that cannot be resolved by junior teams.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive infrastructure documentation standards, including architectural blueprints, procedural playbooks, and best practice frameworks.
- Perform expert-level IBM MQ administration, including high-level cluster configuration, performance tuning, and global monitoring strategies.
- Govern the Microsoft 365 suite and productivity tools, ensuring enterprise-wide security compliance, tenant health, and optimal user experience.
- Establish and audit security best practices across all infrastructure layers, ensuring alignment with industry frameworks and internal compliance mandates.
- Collaborate with senior application owners and stakeholders to architect optimized system performance and solve systemic technical bottlenecks.
- Architect and oversee the deployment of robust, multi-site backup and recovery solutions for virtual machines, NAS, and mission-critical applications.
- Define strategy for regular backup integrity testing and data availability audits to ensure 100% data recoverability.
- Architect and govern AWS compute and storage environments, ensuring optimal instanceselection (EC2), volume management (EBS/EFS), and S3 lifecycle policies for enterprise workloads.
- Lead the design and management of AWS Sandbox and production environments, enforcing infrastructure governance through AWS Organizations and IAM least-privilege resource access.
- Orchestrate large-scale migrations of on-premises VMware workloads to AWS, utilizing AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) to ensure minimal downtime and platform stability.
- Implement and manage AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery strategies, ensuring cloud-native workloads meet the same RPO/RTO standards as on-premises core servers.
- Optimize AWS cloud infrastructure costs by implementing advanced resource monitoring, autoscaling groups, and strategic instance rightsizing to support the business cost-efficiency goals.
- Lead cross-functional IT teams and consult with external clients throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, delivering high-level strategic solutions from initial assessment to change implementation
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent high-level certifications and 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure administration.
- Expert-level mastery in at least four of the following areas: Windows/Linux Server, VMware (including SRM), SAN/NAS Storage, IBM MQ, AWS Infrastructure, and Automation.
- Proven ability to architect and govern security best practices and frameworks across hybridcloud environments.
- Superior troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (RCA) skills with the ability to solve unprecedented and highly complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical roadmaps and concepts to executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage high-priority projects, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- ITIL® Intermediate or Expert certification (Preferred).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (Highly Preferred).
- Advanced professional certifications such as VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) or CISSP (Preferred).
- Extensive experience architecting and governing AWS compute and storage platforms at an enterprise scale (Preferred).
