Purpose:
- To manage and oversee the teams responsible for delivering NAB’s Infrastructure Operations including Midrange, Storage, DNS, Windows Compute, Virtulisation platforms, and Automation platforms
- Responsible for managing the NAB and 3rd party teams to deliver exceptional ‘Run’ and ‘Build’ services for all in scope services.
- Accountable for service outcomes, operational plans, financial budgets, and ensures services align to the agreements, and that resource unit consumption optimisation and capacity management occurs.
- Responsible for proactively managing NAB hardware, software, and global agile model headcount reductions in line with cloud migrations, decommissioning programs, and automation of functions.
- Actively review line of business to identify and deliver productivity initiatives to exceed our budget reduction targets. Partner with the Head of Infrastructure Delivery Services to provide actionable insights via data/reports that identify and track when these initiatives will be delivered and benefits realised.
- Responsible for identifying where work can be automated to deliver headcount reductions or efficiencies. Provide regular reporting on these reviews, agreed next steps and timelines to execute.
- The role is both a trusted & strategic advisor to the executive & mentor to the technology service teams
- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process/procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).

Experience:
- 20+ years of experience
- Managing and delivering complex programs containing multiple streams.
- Extensive experience in managing the operational delivery of vendors to NAB business units
- Experience in developing business case justification and managing benefits realisation.
- Building, leading and managing teams, including matrix team members
- Contract & vendor management
- Strong communication/relationship skills across the breadth of stakeholders including Senior Executive
Key Accountabilities:
- Directly accountable for a team of Infrastructure engineers/consultants and vendor supplied resources.
- Management of the commercial and operational performance of the teams, including 3rd party resources.
- Develop and deliver on productivity initiatives to ensure alignment to financial requirements.
- Support Vendor and 3rd party technology provider discussions, including Commercial and Performance forums.
- Key interface between NAB Domains and vendor organisations, responsible for representing the broader NAB’s requirements and interests to partner organisations.
- Operational/expenditure management of supported systems ensures service obligations are met within the budget envelope.
- Leadership of team members including hiring, coaching, mentoring, developing and promoting resources.
- Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
