King's College London is seeking to appoint a Project Manager within its Real Estate Development team—an exceptional opportunity to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of estate development projects at one of the world’s leading universities.
King’s College London is one of the UK’s leading research‑intensive universities, ranked among the top institutions globally. With a proud history dating back to 1829, King’s has always been guided by a simple but powerful belief: that knowledge should be put to work in the service of society. From shaping global thinking in medicine, law, and the study of war and peace, to world‑changing discoveries such as the structure of DNA, King’s has a long tradition of academic excellence delivering real‑world impact.
As King’s approaches its bicentenary, this sense of purpose is carried forward through King’s Strategy 2030, which sets out how the university will continue to deliver outstanding education and research in a rapidly changing higher‑education landscape. In an environment of increasing public scrutiny, evolving student expectations, technological change, and financial pressure, King’s is committed to remaining fixed in its purpose while adaptable in its choices — ensuring that our actions, estate, and investments demonstrably serve society.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of assigned capital projects across King’s College London’s estate. Working under the direction of a Senior Project Manager or Associate Director, you will manage scope, programme, cost, risk, and stakeholder engagement from design development through to construction, handover, and post-occupancy activities.
The role involves close coordination with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with agreed objectives. The Project Manager will play a key role in maintaining project records, supporting gateway approvals, and ensuring accurate reporting throughout the delivery phase.
We are seeking candidates who have proven experience in delivering a wide range of construction-related projects from feasibility to handover, with experience of projects in the £500k to £5m value range. The role would suit individuals either in client-side or consultant project manager roles currently, or those in project architect or building surveying roles aspiring to progress into a client-side project management career.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented project professional seeking to develop their client-side capital delivery experience in a complex operational environment.
