Beauport Ambulance Service
Position Summary
Beauport Ambulance Service is seeking motivated and professional Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our Boston Division. Candidates must be currently certified as an EMT-Basic or be in the final testing phase of their EMT training.
We offer a competitive pay scale starting at $25.00 per hour, with increases based on experience, as well as flexible scheduling with built-in overtime opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
- Current EMT certification issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s License
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 150 pounds with assistance without difficulty
- Ability to lift and carry up to 150 pounds with assistance up and down two flights of stairs
- Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk at least one quarter mile without difficulty and without affecting immediate job performance
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer patient care in accordance with Massachusetts Statewide Treatment Protocols and company policies
- Deliver high-quality patient care consistent with clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care
- Attend all mandatory company training sessions or submit proof of equivalent training in a timely manner
- Treat all patients in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Communicate effectively with EMS agencies, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Communicate professionally with patients, family members, bystanders, and facility staff
- Complete and assist with patient care reports and required documentation accurately and in accordance with company policy
- Perform vehicle and equipment checks each shift
- Maintain ambulances and equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition, including washing vehicles at the end of each shift
- Ensure ambulances are properly stocked and ready for service
- Maintain all required certifications and provide updated copies prior to expiration
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
- Observe, document, and report patient conditions, responses to treatment, and significant incidents to appropriate medical personnel
- Operate ambulances in compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local laws
- Perform daily housekeeping duties at assigned bases
- Properly load, secure, and transport patients in accordance with company procedures
- Perform patient assessments and medical screenings consistent with company protocols
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
