Director of Supply Chain
Location: Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $180,000-$200,000 base salary (bonus and benefits eligible)
Summary
We are seeking a highly driven and self‑motivated Director of Supply Chain to lead and continuously improve end‑to‑end supply chain operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for developing and executing global supply chain strategies that ensure continuity of supply, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and scalable growth. Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function, including planning, procurement, supplier management, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations
- Develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned to business growth, cost, quality, and delivery objectives
- Ensure full compliance with aviation and other regulated manufacturing requirements, including quality systems, traceability, and audit readiness
- Lead global supplier strategy, including sourcing, contract negotiation, risk management, and supplier performance management
- Partner cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to support operational excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes, leveraging data, KPIs, and best practices
- Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing global supply chain teams
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, capacity, and regulatory risks
- Support new product introductions, capacity expansion, and global footprint optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within regulated manufacturing, preferably medical device, aviation, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries
- Demonstrated global supply chain experience, including working with international suppliers and manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements in aviation manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead transformation, drive change, and deliver measurable business results
- Highly driven, self‑motivated leader with a hands‑on mindset and strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the executive level
- Data‑driven decision maker with strong analytical and financial acumen
