Job Summary:
The Field Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned projects from planning through final delivery and installation. This position acts as a key liaison between cross-functional teams, vendors, installers, and clients to ensure project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and schedules are met. The Field Project Manager coordinates resources, facilitates project meetings, tracks task progress, and identifies risks to develop mitigation plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets from initiation through completion.
- Liaise between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project objectives are clearly communicated and met.
- Plan and facilitate on-site project meetings to align team members and communicate goals, expectations, and progress.
- Monitor and report on field activities, task completion, and resource utilization.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Identify and proactively address risks and delays in the project timeline with contingency planning.
- Maintain all field documentation, including meeting notes, site photos, change orders, and status updates.
- Formulate RFI's & change orders.
- Prepare and distribute agendas, summaries, reports, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Review scopes of work and assist in developing cost estimates and field schedules.
- Conduct final walk-throughs and punch list management to ensure successful project closeout.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Must have two (2) years of experience in project coordination or field project management.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and construction project workflows.
- Able to read CAD drawings/blueprints.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional departments and external partners.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) are required
- Proficient in the use of Project Management Software: Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Asana, or Smartsheet
- Must show competence in Scheduling Tools: Field wire, Builder trend, Procore, or equivalent, and Communication Tools: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry or manipulate items of up to 25 lbs.
- This position may also require occasional travel to other company locations if necessary
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, and the ability to adjust vision while working with a computer and other business equipment
