Position Overview
The Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Operations directs and manages the Information Services Department, identifies and recommends enhancements to the Credit Union’s information systems, manages vendor relationships and contract negotiations, and oversees the Credit Union’s IT infrastructure. This leader actively participates in developing and maintaining Business Continuity and Information Security capabilities and ensures the department meets organizational, operational, service culture, and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage IT staff and department organization
- Oversee all hardware and software support
- Ensure operational reliability, business continuity, collaboration, and end-user computing
- Manage installation and maintenance of VOIP systems
- Direct technology architecture for new branch locations and renovations
- Oversee IT Service Management program
- Identify and implement new technologies and system improvements
- Align IT initiatives with business objectives
- Manage third-party vendor relationships, including contract reviews and negotiations
- Lead or participate in project committees
- Provide timely reporting on IT operations
- Foster a strong service culture through training and goal setting
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Meet business plan objectives within budget
- Improve operational efficiency of the department
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of related experience, including leadership roles
- Experience managing complex IT environments and vendor relationships
- Strong ability to influence, motivate, and communicate with senior stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure including desktop, server, security, and software systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Nutanix
- Experience managing technical debt solutions
- Experience working in financial services (credit unions/banks) or other highly regulated industries
- ITIL certification
