Member Duties : The Summer Associate will review sustainability materials developed by previous VISTA members and gain a thorough understanding of the organization’s history, core initiatives, key activities, and major events. They will familiarize themselves with the current calendar of planned events for the term of service and utilize available resources to enhance their knowledge of nonprofit event planning and management. By actively participating in and supporting community events, the Associate will help increase awareness of the organization and its initiatives. Additionally, they will assist in implementing and enhancing community events and initiative activities while seeking out internal and external opportunities for learning and professional development. Through these efforts, the Associate will contribute to addressing poverty, strengthening communities, and promoting the safety, education, and well-being of the Lakota people.
