Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Red Oak, TX, for the position of Chief Critical Infrastructure Engineer. The Chief Critical Infrastructure Engineer will oversee and manage the operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical infrastructure systems within DataBank's facilities. Responsibilities include supervising infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, troubleshooting technical issues, and leading a team of engineers and technicians to guarantee operational excellence. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and providing leadership for strategic infrastructure planning is also a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in critical infrastructure systems, including power systems, temperature and humidity control, and energy efficiency engineering.
- Project management skills, including the ability to lead infrastructure initiatives, coordinate teams, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues related to critical systems.
- Proficiency in utilizing monitoring systems and data analysis to maintain optimal system performance and mitigate risks.
- Knowledge of compliance standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements within the data center industry.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to manage and mentor engineering teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in critical infrastructure management are a plus.
- Experience in data center environments or similar facilities is preferred but not mandatory.
