Director of Operations Engineering
Adamas Energy is seeking an accomplished Director of Operations Engineering to provide enterprise-level leadership across operated assets and advance strategic engineering priorities. This executive-facing role will lead Production Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Engineering Technology while partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive operational performance, capital efficiency, technical excellence, and long-term asset value.
Executive Leadership Scope
· Set and execute Operations Engineering strategy to support production growth, operational reliability, disciplined capital allocation, and sustained asset value creation.
· Provide senior leadership across Production Engineering, Facilities Engineering, engineering analytics, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Drive production optimization, surveillance, forecasting, decline analysis, workovers, intervention planning, and production enhancement activities.
· Oversee facilities engineering for gathering systems, compression, gas treating, water infrastructure, facility expansions, and capital projects.
· Champion technology-enabled operational excellence through dashboards, predictive analytics, automation, AI, machine learning, and decision-support systems.
· Develop and lead high-performing engineering teams with a focus on safety, accountability, collaboration, innovation, technical rigor, and enterprise impact.
Key Leadership Priorities
· Partner with Operations, HSE, and Field Leadership to reinforce safety culture, reduce operational risk, and strengthen asset reliability.
· Ensure engineering designs, project execution, operational decisions, and business plans reflect disciplined safety, integrity, and risk management principles.
· Support field engagement, incident learnings, operational readiness reviews, Management of Change processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Establish clear expectations for performance, accountability, operational discipline, and engineering excellence across the organization.
Executive Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; master’s degree preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive engineering experience within the oil and gas industry, including demonstrated leadership across complex operating environments.
· 3–5+ years of engineering leadership, management, or senior technical leadership experience.
· Proven ability to lead Production Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
· Strong knowledge of production engineering, facilities engineering, compression systems, gathering systems, gas treating, water infrastructure, and engineering economics.
Preferred Experience
· Haynesville Shale experience.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license.
· Experience with analytics, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.
· Familiarity with Prosper, GAP, Pipesim, Aries, Enverus, Power BI, SQL, Python, SCADA, and Azure technologies.
