Sr. Procurement Specialist (Capital Projects / Industrial)
We’re seeking a contract Senior Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and contracting activities within a large-scale industrial environment. This position is in the Southeast area of Houston and is primarily in an office environment with some travel to local sites within Houston area when necessary. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and procurement efforts for materials, equipment, and services supporting capital or operational projects
- Manage RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations
- Develop sourcing strategies that drive cost savings and supply reliability
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and cost drivers to inform decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and procurement planning
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of procurement or sourcing experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial environments
- Strong experience with contract negotiation and supplier management
- Background supporting capital projects or EPC environments preferred
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
