Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role, located in Houston, TX, for an Information Technology Infrastructure Manager. This role is responsible for the oversight, administration, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, operating systems, processing platforms, and communication systems, in alignment with regulatory expectations and organizational risk tolerance.
Ensures infrastructure operations comply with applicable guidance from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), including areas such as information security, business continuity, and vendor management.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions. Ensures system performance, availability, and data protection through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response. Provides leadership across infrastructure functions, including network and systems administration, cybersecurity operations, end-user computing, and Help Desk services.
Oversees complex technical issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis. Partners with executive leadership on IT strategy, budgeting, and risk management. Supports business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution. Leads and develops IT staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and alignment with organizational and regulatory expectations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities

Leads and develops IT Infrastructure staff, including performance management, coaching, succession planning, and resource allocation. Promotes a culture of accountability, security awareness, and continuous improvement and in line with the organization’s values.

Oversees daily operations of the credit union’s 24/7 IT infrastructure and business-hours IT Help Desk services, ensuring high availability, reliability, and service levels consistent with business needs and regulatory expectations. Establishes and monitors SLAs and KPIs.

Leads the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems (hardware, software, and networks). Ensures solutions align with security standards, architectural best practices, and regulatory guidance. Manages projects, system enhancements, and escalated technical issues.

Directs network and systems administration, including configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of enterprise infrastructure. Ensures proper segmentation, access controls, and secure configurations in alignment with FFIEC cybersecurity guidance.

Manages IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, patching, and licensing. Ensures compliance with vendor agreements and supports third-party risk management practices, including due diligence and ongoing vendor oversight.

Maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Ensures effective communication, service delivery, and coordination of support, upgrades, and issue resolution. Participates in vendor risk assessments and contract reviews.

Ensures efficient operation and maintenance of systems through proactive monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and preventative maintenance. Supports business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.

Monitors and analyzes system, network, and security logs to identify risks, anomalies, or policy violations. Supports response efforts for security incidents, audits, and examinations, including remediation tracking and reporting.
Salary Range
$79,927.40 to $99,909.25
Qualifications
- Expertise in Information Technology, IT Operations, and infrastructure management
- Strong skills in Network Security practices and protocols to ensure data protection
- Proficiency in System Administration, including server maintenance and configuration
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Experience with regulatory compliance and industry-standard cybersecurity measures
- Proven communication and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or equivalent are preferred
- Previous experience in the financial services or credit union industry is a plus
