International Relief – Virginia Beach, VA (Hybrid)
Operation Blessing (OB) is seeking an experienced Programs Manager to provide strategic planning, development, technical oversight and general management to the international Livelihood and Food Security programs to include microenterprise, agriculture, animal husbandry, vocational/educational training initiatives, and other programs as necessary for Europe, Asia, Middle East, and North American countries. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB’s Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ’s name to meet physical and spiritual needs.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, or other related degree preferable
- Strong experience in nonprofit organization as program technician or manager
- Strong experience in non-profit humanitarian development
- Strong working knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) best practices
- Proficient in MS Office with ability to learn new software and technology
- Extensive working knowledge of cross-cultural environments and customs
- Critical thinker with strong research, analytical skills, and ability to make sound recommendations and decisions
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to take initiative, be innovative, work independently, and function as a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with ability to train others
- Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to travel internationally as assigned, up to 30% of the year
- Christian commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with Operation Blessing’s Christian foundation and beliefs as expressed in our Vision and Mission
- Relevant second language preferred
- Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB’s non-profit Christian mission
