Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a fast-paced, highly technical environment. This role will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and customers to drive successful product execution.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to establish clear manufacturing and assembly requirements
- Support the development, planning, and execution of manufacturing processes and production systems
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles, including workflow optimization, facility layout, and labor efficiency
- Assess production requirements and recommend appropriate equipment, tooling, and automation solutions
- Develop and present detailed technical analyses and cost justifications to support process and equipment-related decisions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication and successful execution of project objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to support project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Contribute to manufacturing systems strategy, including PLC integration and connectivity to enterprise-level systems
- Utilize ERP, MRP, and MES platforms to support and enhance production operations
- Leverage real-time monitoring, process control systems, and data collection tools to improve manufacturing performance
- Support initiatives related to materials flow, quality systems, and overall production efficiency
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering, with an automotive background strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing methods, product development processes, and production equipment
- Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, tooling, fixtures, and molding processes is highly desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for customer engagements or facility visits
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
