Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Warehouse Manager at our Novi, MI location. The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations, including stock control, inventory management, and efficient handling of goods. Responsibilities include organizing and supervising workflows, ensuring inventory accuracy, managing staff, and maintaining adherence to safety protocols. The role also involves optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage warehouse shipping areas that include fulfilling and shipping customer orders from SolidSignal.com and Amazon.com, ensuring accuracy of shipments and addressing any issues.
- Oversee and optimize all warehouse logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and coordination with supply chain partners to ensure timely and efficient flow of goods.
- Delegate warehouse tasks to Warehouse Associates.
- Oversee the shipping process, schedule, and support documentation, working to optimize efficiency through changes in processes based on company growth, staffing, and strategy.
- Ensure products are shipped promptly and accurately and coach warehouse staff to do the same. Address and document relevant performance issues as needed.
- Be an integral member of the daily tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Model a commitment to accuracy and efficiency to ensure that all daily tasks are completed.
- Train, guide, and delegate the warehouse staff, encouraging professional growth and development.
- Oversee and manage the inventory control process including monitoring inventory levels and conducting cycle counts twice annually and periodically throughout the year.
- Oversee the shipment receiving process including the storage of received products.
- Take ownership of the lifecycle of the returns process and ensure each stage is handled promptly and with attention to detail. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the returns process and delegate the tasks to Warehouse Associates as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA requirements, and ensure warehouse workers are complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Utilize and establish reporting tools as resources to manage shipping, inventory, and staffing efficiencies.
- Assess warehouse staffing needs including performance management, recruiting, hiring, and training as needed to best support efficiencies in the warehouse.
- Create and continuously improve upon processes and documentation for systems affecting warehouse operations.
- Other projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Strong data analysis skills utilizing available tools to support the data

- Strong knowledge of warehouse activities

- Proficient using a personal computer, warehouse software and proprietary software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stretch, and traverse the warehouse throughout the day
- Knowledge of EOS a plus
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience in lieu of education considered)
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience managing a team required
- NetSuite experience is a plus
Certificates and/or Licenses
- Six Sigma certification
- Certification to drive hi-lo required
- Certification to ship Hazmat preferred
Physical or Other Requirements:
A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day;
Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting, and putting away and pulling inventory from shelves;
Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds;
Climbing of ladders;
Usage of pallet jacks throughout the day as needed.
