Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform construction tasks including framing, and general carpentry based on project requirements.

Safely operate hand tools, power tools such as saws, drills, and hammers.

Conduct work on elevated platforms, scaffolds and ladders as necessary.

Operate equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts as required and when properly authorized.

Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate work.

Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing debris and supporting site housekeeping efforts.

Receive, unload, and distribute construction materials and equipment to designated locations on the job site.

Assist with quality control by ensuring work meets project specifications and industry standards.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to meet project schedules and objectives.
-
Communicate progress, concerns, and safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
-
Comply with all applicable safety codes, regulations, and company standards.

Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy to ensure efficient crew operations.
-
Follow supervisor instructions and understand construction requirements for assigned tasks.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities

Basic knowledge and safe use of common hand tools and construction equipment.

Understanding safety practices and procedures in a construction environment.
-
Ability to operate construction tools, equipment, and small machinery safely.
-
Experience performing tasks such as painting, cutting, drilling, and assembling small structures.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written instructions.
-
Ability to safely use tools such as pickaxes, trench shovels, sledgehammers, concrete saws, and similar equipment.

Ability to work safely without posing a direct threat to self or others.
-
Compliance with applicable OSHA and other applicable industry safety standards.
-
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Education and Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-
Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the construction industry.

Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or trade training program preferred.
-
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements
-
Frequent walking on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions.
-
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of environmental conditions.
-
Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated surfaces when necessary.
-
Frequent reaching above shoulder height and below the waist.
-
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, climb, and balance throughout the work shift.

Regular work near heavy equipment, power tools, and moving machinery.
-
Ability to push or pull up to 75 lbs and lift or carry 50+ lbs.
-
Ability to operate motor vehicles and light machinery as required.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety harnesses, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and high-visibility vests.
