We are seeking a Robotics Engineer located in the DFW metro. Our client is a well-established industrial manufacturer operating at the forefront of the clean energy and advanced materials space, currently entering an exciting phase of growth and project development.
This is a hands-on, highly technical role focused on robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate enjoys working in an environment that combines design, prototyping, software development, and industrial automation to ensure systems operate efficiently from concept through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with process, controls, and manufacturing teams to design and implement integrated robotic and automated systems
- Conduct research to determine optimal robotic applications, including system layout and end-of-arm tooling (grippers)
- Design, implement, and deploy robotic cells, systems, and components
- Develop and implement software to control robotic systems using languages such as C++ or Python
- Lead prototyping efforts, including development of components such as microprocessors and mechatronic systems
The ideal candidate will hold a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. They will have at least three years of experience as a robotics engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong programming skills, experience with CAD/CAM software, and familiarity with robotics platforms such as FANUC, ABB, or Siemens are highly valued. Knowledge of process safety, cost optimization, and system integration, along with an entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset, are essential for success in this role.
