The
Information Technology Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring seamless communication, efficient service delivery, and alignment of technology solutions with organizational goals. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and the ability to manage vendor relationships while supporting internal teams. This role bridges clinical and administrative needs with technical solutions, supporting patient care through reliable technology systems.
Washington/California preferred but open to all states.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in IT coordination or vendor management
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud services
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass state and national criminal background checks
Key Responsibilities - Vendor Management
- Maintain relationships with MSPs and other technology vendors
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and escalate issues as needed
- Manage the inventory of HIPAA-compliance IT equipment and software through approved vendors
- Provide quality customer service to both OTS staff and clinic staff when required
- Ensure MSPs follow proper incident response protocols for Protected Health Information
Business & Clinical Liaison
- Act as the primary point of contact between business units and MSPs including but not limited to: Telephany and Ruby Answering Service
- Translate healthcare workflows and other business requirements into technical specifications for MSP execution
- Provide regular updates on IT projects impacting patient care or compliance
Service Delivery Coordination
- Review, prioritize, and dispatch service tickets to appropriate technology providers
- Track ticket progress and ensure timely resolution
- Dispatch tickets to appropriate MSP resources and monitor resolution
- Audit closed tickets for completeness and compliance with billing standards
Project Support
- Assist the Director of Health Information Systems and the EHR Manager in coordinating system workflows and troubleshooting myEvolv, OpenDental, and integrated peripherals
- Assist in planning and coordinating IT projects, site expansions, and new clinic builds with development functions and MSPs
- Track milestones and ensure deliverables align with business expectations
- Assist with development functions during site expansions or new site builds
- Document processes and maintain accurate records of vendor interactions
- Perform other such duties as assigned within the scope of the position and program description, as well as those reflective of your experience, education, and ability
Additional Scope
- This position will be expected to operate with minimal to moderate oversight during normal daily tasks
- Problem/task resolution will include a mix of short-term and long-term timeframes, and you will need to allocate time and resources accordingly
