About The Role
We're looking for a Logistics Operations Lead based in New York City to drive day-to-day execution across our logistics marketplace. This is a hands-on, field-forward role built for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
You will be the on-the-ground operator; ensuring standards are met, supporting operators through critical moments, and stepping in to solve problems as they arise. You'll work closely with operators and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly, especially during launches, early-stage ramp, and unexpected disruptions.
This is not a fixed role with a static checklist. Priorities will evolve. New problems will appear daily. Success requires strong ownership, adaptability, and the ability to execute without waiting for perfect clarity.
What You'll Do
Operator Execution & Field Support
- Conduct in-person site visits 2-3 times per week to introduce the operations and opportunity to future operators
- Ensure operators meet daily operating requirements and brand standards
- Coordinate new operable unit launches to ensure readiness and smooth ramp-up
- Deliver logistics training and operational playbooks to operators
- Identify execution gaps and work directly with operators to resolve them
- Provide hands-on support during the first week of operations to ensure successful ramp
- Act as the primary point of stabilization during early-stage execution
Fleet & Asset Operations
- Oversee monthly maintenance of idle fleet to ensure vehicles remain deployment-ready
- Coordinate repairs and vehicle enablement prior to use
- Manage vehicle-related incidents end-to-end, including:
- Accidents (insurance and stakeholder coordination)
- Towing / impounds (government and operator coordination)
- Registration and insurance renewals
- Ensure fleet readiness does not become a bottleneck to operations
Operational Monitoring & Continuity
- Monitor daily completion of base operating requirements
- Track leading indicators of operational performance and flag issues early
- Conduct audits and support enforcement of brand and operational standards
- Support performance management by surfacing gaps and escalating issues when needed
- Own business continuity, including contingency plans if an operator exits or fails to perform
- Step in to stabilize operations and coordinate rapid recovery during disruptions
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in logistics, fleet operations, field operations, last-mile delivery, or similar
- Strong ability to work with external operators, vendors, or partners
- Comfortable being in the field most days of the week
- Highly organized, execution-oriented, and able to prioritize quickly
- Strong communication skills, able to be direct while maintaining relationships
- Able to identify problems quickly and take action without waiting for direction
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and adapting as priorities evolve
