EMT Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general educations degree (GED)
- Must be able to communicate and understand English verbally and in writing
- Licenses and Certifications (must be valid, current and/or in good standing)
- Valid Driver’s License
- State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician Basic Certification
- CPR Certification (American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers)
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) if driver certified
Paramedic Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general educations degree (GED)
- Must be able to communicate and understand English verbally and in writing
- Licenses and Certifications (must be valid, current and/or in good standing)
- Valid Driver’s License
- EMT-P
- CPR (AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider or ARC CPR for Professional Rescuers)
