Manager of Logistics and Fulfillment
Position Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing outbound logistics, 3PL performance, and fulfillment operations across multiple sales channels, including DTC, Amazon, and B2B. The position ensures orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining high service levels.
You will serve as the primary owner of 3PL relationships, driving performance, resolving operational issues, and ensuring adherence to KPIs and SOPs. This role requires strong execution, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
3PL Management & Fulfillment Execution
- Act as the day-to-day owner of the 3PL network, ensuring consistent performance and accountability.
- Ensure all DTC, Amazon, and B2B orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in compliance with retailer and platform requirements.
- Monitor and drive SLA performance, including fulfillment rate, ship-on-time %, dock-to-stock timing, inventory accuracy, and pick accuracy.
- Lead issue resolution and escalation management with 3PL partners, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Enforce and standardize SOPs across receiving, pick/pack, inventory control, and outbound fulfillment processes.
- Oversee 3PL labor planning, capacity, and throughput—especially during peak and seasonal demand periods.
Outbound Logistics & Transportation
- Manage carrier relationships across parcel, LTL, and FTL networks.
- Support routing guide execution and carrier selection for wholesale/B2B shipments.
- Partner closely with the Amazon team on FBA prep, labeling, routing, and compliance requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across transportation without compromising service levels.
Inventory Control & Data Integrity
- Own inventory accuracy across all 3PL locations, including weekly and monthly reconciliations.
- Lead cycle count programs, discrepancy investigations, and corrective action planning.
- Validate receiving processes (ASN vs. packing list vs. commercial invoice) to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain clean, timely, and reliable inventory data to support financial reporting and operational planning.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on key fulfillment KPIs, including ship-on-time %, order accuracy, cost per order, and inventory aging.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase throughput across the network.
- Drive process improvements, SOP updates, and system enhancements to support scalability.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, fulfillment operations, or 3PL management.
- Hands-on experience with DTC, B2B, and Amazon fulfillment workflows.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including pick/pack, inventory control, and outbound shipping.
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement operational improvements.
- Highly organized, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with NetSuite, WMS platforms, 3PL portals, and advanced Excel preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% for onsite 3PL support and operational oversight.
