Position: Logistics Specialist

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM
Pay: $45,000-$65,000k/ annually

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Shipping Documentation: Prepare and manage essential export paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Telex Releases.
- Tracking: Proactively monitor shipping status, including departures, arrivals, and changes in destination.
- Customs Liaison: Coordinate with Chinese customs agents to obtain quotations and ensure smooth customs clearance.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek out and implement methods to streamline logistics and document retrieval processes.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact for customers regarding goods pick-up and payment arrangements.
- Collaboration: Maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external partners to ensure customer needs are met.
- Coordination: Liaise with internal teams (logistics, sales), carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and clients.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments to ensure documents are in place for timely vessel departure and delivery.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, audit files, and manage documentation within logistics systems.
- Issue Resolution: Address discrepancies, handle freight claims, and resolve customer complaints related to documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience:2-5 years in freight forwarding, logistics, or ocean export documentation.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Incoterms, ocean freight procedures, and transporation and international business regulations.
- Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency MS Office.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience is preferred.
