Job Summary
The Director of IT Operations is a key member of the management team whose primary concern is facilitating optimal organizational performance of information technology and information services for SVCMC. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director’s primary responsibility is to oversee daily IT/IS operations, ensuring information technology and services across all departments and in service of our external vendors work seamlessly to achieve organizational objectives. The Director drives process improvements, optimizes resource allocation, and fosters a culture of operational
excellence.
Responsibilities
Ensure the optimal performance, scalability and security of the technology infrastructure.
Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including data center management, network administration, cloud services, endpoint support and service desk functions, attaining the highest possible levels of effective performance.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology and software that will optimize the member, employee and vendor experience, align with the organization’s strategic and business needs, and facilitate the integration of technology to optimize health plan operations.
Develop, implement and maintain security policies and procedures that meet Department of Defense regulations and industry standards (NIST, CMMC, HIPAA) and ensure compliance.
Oversee security awareness training, conduct risk assessments, establish incident response plans and stay updated on the latest security trends to proactively address potential vulnerabilities and mitigate risks to the organization’s data and systems.
Design and implement policies, procedures, and systems to manage, measure, analyze and improve department performance via quality improvement activities, resulting in higher levels of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, employee satisfaction and health plan performance.
Lead the development and alignment of the operational components of the department: review activities, set direction, strategize around opportunities, and review goals, objectives, and outcomes on an ongoing basis.
Facilitate the development of knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors necessary for team members to function together with a high degree of engagement and satisfaction, attaining the highest possible levels of effective performance.
Identify ways to support the health plan’s mission, vision, values, and goals through effective talent management, including recruiting, hiring and retention strategies, succession planning, career laddering, onboarding, training, professional development, and performance assessment and recognition.
Understand the organization’s strategic plan, goals and objectives to define a clear vision for technology implementation and innovation.
Define technology project objectives, create project plans, assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Manage the financial aspects of the IT department, create and oversee the IT budget, ensure cost-effectiveness and allocate resources efficiently.
Oversee analytics initiatives to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights throughout the organization.

Ability to effectively mitigate risks, proactively address security vulnerabilities and maintain a secure technology environment.
Ability to forecast staffing requirements and patterns to support strategic growth or shifts in health plan personnel availability. Ability to ensure staffing requirements and patterns meet health plan regulatory/accreditation/compliance requirements.
Ability to proactively engage with direct and indirect reports, provide guidance, set expectations for meeting goals and priorities, and develop corrective action plans when goals are not met.
Demonstrate clear, effective, and efficient communications, including the use of effective listening skills and constructive feedback; prepare reports and documents and utilize communication strategies to promote stakeholder understanding; plan and conduct impactful and productive business meetings.

Experience
10 years of progressive IT leadership, including four or more years of management/supervisory experience.
Experience with: Okta IDP, SentinelOne, Cisco Meraki, TalkDesk, InTune Cisco Umbrella, Cisco VPN and Proofpoint.
Proven track record of success, facilitating optimal organizational performance of information technology and information services.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proven problem solving, program-development, team-building and training skills required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Certifications such as PMP, CISM, CISSP, CGEIT, ITIL, CRISC or relevant technical certifications.
SALARY RANGE: $204,000.00 - $215,000.00
