The company is seeking a Vice President of Operations (on-site) to lead and scale day-to-day operations during a critical phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this hands-on leadership role will oversee operations, logistics, project management, systems, and internal processes while partnering closely with sales and finance to drive operational efficiency and support continued expansion.
This leader will build the operational infrastructure required to support rapid growth, evolving services, and increasing transaction volumes. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, including building teams, implementing systems, and driving operational discipline across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations, driving execution, accountability, and operational discipline across teams, processes, and systems.
- Manage and develop the project management team, overseeing project planning and coordination across proposals, budgets, contracts, and timelines while supporting sales with project costing and execution planning.
- Oversee order execution, logistics, and billing, ensuring accurate fulfillment, timely delivery, strong operational handoffs, and reliable reporting.
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and customer contracts, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities, risk tolerance, and commercial objectives.
- Lead the strategy and development of core business systems, including CRM optimization and ERP selection and implementation.
- Continuously improve operational workflows and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce friction, and support the expansion of products and services.
- Hire, train, and mentor team members, building scalable operational teams as the organization grows.
- Establish and maintain operational compliance, policies, and internal controls that scale with the business.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance, identify operational friction, and support data-driven decision making.
- Lead key initiatives tied to quarterly and annual company goals, reporting progress and performance to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience scaling operations through high-growth phases, ideally helping grow an organization from approximately $20M to $100M+ in revenue (or comparable 3–5x growth) while building the infrastructure, systems, and teams required to sustain that expansion.
- ERP implementation and systems leadership experience, including selecting, designing, implementing, or significantly optimizing ERP platforms to support operational workflows, integrations, and scalable business processes.
- Demonstrated builder mindset, with the ability to design operational frameworks, implement scalable systems, and develop processes that support increasing operational complexity and transaction volumes.
- Experience structuring and scaling operational teams, including defining roles, building organizational capacity, and developing leaders as the organization grows.
- 8–12+ years of operations experience, including leadership responsibility in scaling or growth-stage organizations.
- Track record of partnering closely with commercial leadership to support revenue growth, ensuring operational execution and customer delivery scale alongside the business.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor and customer agreements, partnering with sales, finance, and legal to ensure operational feasibility and commercial alignment.
- Strong executive communication and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize effectively, influence cross-functional teams, and drive results in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable operating in growth-stage environments where priorities evolve quickly, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution when required.
