We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our supply chain operations in Santa Fe Springs, California. This role involves developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, minimize inventory levels, and achieve cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will oversee purchasing and planning functions, collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimize delivery times, inventory levels, and overall cost efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor a team of buyers and planners to ensure effective operations and growth with attention to detail.
• Establish and enforce best practices in planning and purchasing processes to improve compliance and operational performance.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to meet organizational quality and cost objectives.
• Analyze procurement activities to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Implement inventory management solutions, including pull-based replenishment methods like Kanban and consignment processes.
• Generate and review regular reports on purchasing metrics, delivery performance, and inventory levels.
• Stay informed about market trends and risks to proactively adjust supply chain strategies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely production schedules and customer order fulfillment.
• Proven experience in supply chain management, with a focus on procurement and planning.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
• Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in inventory management techniques and tools.
• Solid analytical skills to assess and improve supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of global supply chain logistics and emerging industry trends.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
