Role Summary: Hera Technologies is seeking a motivated Mid- Level Quality Manager to support and maintain quality management systems in a regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role is well-suited for an early-career or developing quality leader who has hands-on experience with inspection, documentation, and compliance activities such as Internal Audits and is ready to grow into broader quality leadership responsibilities. The Quality Manager will help ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100/ISO 9001 and customer requirements
- Manage day-to-day quality activities including inspections, nonconformance tracking, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and document control
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure quality requirements are understood and followed
- Coordinate first article inspections (FAI) and support internal and external audits
- Assist with supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluations and corrective actions
- Represent Hera Technologies for External Audits (Customer, AS9100D, ISO 9001)
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
- Support training efforts related to quality procedures and best practices
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards in daily operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense preferred)
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality standards
- Experience with Internal Audits and compliance with quality standards
- Experience with inspections, nonconformances, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (AS9102)
- Experience with ERP or quality management software
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Exposure to government or defense contract requirements
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
