Logistics Manager
Our client develops and delivers advanced grid solutions that enable utilities to increase transmission capacity, improve efficiency, and accelerate the energy transition. Their technologies are being adopted by utilities, grid operators, and infrastructure developers seeking cost-effective ways to expand grid capacity, integrate renewable generation, and strengthen energy security.
The business is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead global logistics, trade compliance, warehousing, and distribution operations within a NetSuite-centric ERP environment.
This role will ensure the compliant, cost-effective, and timely movement of raw materials and finished goods across domestic and international supply chains, while maintaining strong operational control, system integrity, and execution visibility.
Working cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, and Commercial teams, the Logistics Manager will align logistics execution with production schedules, inventory strategies, and customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Global Logistics & Distribution
- Lead end-to-end logistics operations including international and domestic transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure accurate execution of shipments, transfers, receipts, and order fulfilment within NetSuite.
- Implement standardised logistics procedures to support global scalability and operational consistency.
- Partner with internal teams to support customer delivery requirements and production priorities.
ERP Governance
- Own logistics workflows within NetSuite, ensuring alignment between physical operations and system transactions.
- Maintain logistics master data including locations, shipping methods, freight terms, and Incoterms.
- Partner with Planning and Finance to support accurate costing, inventory valuation, and reporting.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Global Trade Compliance
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, export controls, customs requirements, and HTS classification.
- Oversee import/export documentation and coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- Monitor regulatory changes, tariffs, and geopolitical developments affecting global trade.
Transportation & Cost Management
- Lead carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, and third-party logistics provider management.
- Optimise transportation strategies across global shipping lanes and modes.
- Monitor freight spend, carrier performance, and logistics KPIs.
Warehousing & Inventory
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure efficient material flow, secure storage, and inventory accuracy.
- Manage cycle counting, audits, and ERP inventory controls.
- Support production schedules through effective inventory positioning and warehouse operations.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and develop logistics and warehouse teams.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across operations, finance, and supply chain teams.
- Use ERP analytics to track KPIs and identify cost, efficiency, and scalability improvements.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of global logistics, international shipping, and trade compliance.
- Experience working within an ERP environment (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced global environment.
