THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client, a rapidly growing provider of premium artificial lift protection and production enhancement equipment, has created a new Supply Chain Director role responsible for leading their end-to-end, global supply chain strategy, ensuring reliable, cost-effective flow of materials, finished goods, and services across domestic and international markets. This role will play a critical part in scaling the organization, supporting product innovation, enabling international growth, and maintaining service excellence for both U.S. and global customers. Reporting to the VP of Operations and Senior Executive Team at their headquarters in Houston, this is a unique opportunity to combine working with a market leader, but in a smaller and highly entrepreneurial environment where your impact will be visible and meaningful.

HULK Oil Tools Solutions delivers premium artificial lift protection and production enhancement equipment for unconventional oil and gas operations, including cross collar clamps, sand protection tools (VORT-X, SAND-X), MLE guards, centralizers, and related engineered solutions. Its products are designed to maximize uptime, reduce equipment failures, and lower total cost of ownership for operators. The company supports product delivery, refurbishment, field services, and rapid engineering solutions for custom applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Global Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and execute a scalable, global supply chain strategy aligned with HULK’s growth roadmap, international expansion, and operational priorities
- Lead demand planning and supply planning for domestic and international markets, balancing inventory availability with working capital efficiency
International Supply Chain & Logistics
- Own international sourcing, manufacturing support, and logistics strategy, including supplier diversification across regions
- Oversee global freight, customs, import/export compliance, Incoterms, duties, tariffs, and trade regulations
- Optimize international transportation modes (ocean, air, cross-border trucking) to support customer delivery timelines and cost targets
- Establish logistics frameworks for international distribution hubs, regional stocking strategies, and field deployments
- Partner with international customers and internal stakeholders to support tool deployment, returns, refurbishment, and redeployment across borders
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Lead global supplier sourcing, qualification, and contract negotiations for raw materials, machined components, coatings, and services
- Build strategic supplier partnerships to ensure quality, lead-time reliability, and scalability in both domestic and international supply bases
- Implement supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Inventory, Warehousing & Distribution
- Oversee inventory planning across manufacturing sites, warehouses, refurbishment centers, and international stocking locations
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives to improve turns, reduce obsolescence, and support rapid customer response
- Standardize global inventory policies while allowing flexibility for regional market needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Field Services, Sales, and Finance to align supply chain execution with product design, refurb programs, and customer commitments
- Support new product introductions and international launches by aligning sourcing, logistics, and readiness plans
Cost, Risk & Performance Management
- Define and track global supply chain KPIs (OTD, inventory turns, landed cost, supplier performance, lead times)
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to geopolitics, logistics disruptions, supplier concentration, and regulatory changes
- Drive total landed cost reductions through strategic sourcing, logistics optimization, and process improvement
People Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing domestic and international supply chain team
- Establish clear accountability, standardized processes, and a culture of continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including international sourcing and global logistics
- Proven experience managing import/export operations, global freight, and trade compliance.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and executive-level communication skills
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience in oilfield services, energy equipment, or industrial manufacturing
- ERP and planning system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Hands-on experience supporting international field operations or regional hubs
