We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Florida team.
Position Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of our commercial and industrial roofing projects, as well as related exterior building envelope scopes. From planning and coordinating to execution and completion, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities1) Project Management
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through closeout.
- Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and documentation.
- Track progress, manage changes, and drive solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
2) Team Leadership
- Supervise and support project teams including site supervisors, subcontractors, and other personnel.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and productive work environment.
3) Resource Allocation
- Efficiently allocate manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize performance and productivity.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery timing to prevent downtime.
4) Quality Control
- Implement and enforce quality control measures for roofing and exterior scopes.
- Ensure workmanship meets contract requirements, manufacturer standards, and safety protocols.
5) Client Communication
- Serve as the primary client contact.
- Provide clear updates, manage expectations, address concerns quickly, and ensure customer satisfaction.
6) Safety Compliance
- Uphold and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and minimize risk on-site.
Expanded Scope: Exterior + Demolition/Reconstruction Projects
This role may include projects where existing storage buildings or exterior components have been demolished and require reconstruction and weatherproofing coordination. The Senior Project Manager will help ensure the building is protected and rebuilt correctly—especially where roofing ties into exterior assemblies.
Typical work required on demolished storage building projects may include:
- Coordinating demolition sequencing with operations to maintain site safety and minimize disruption.
- Planning temporary weather protection (e.g., temporary dry-in, tarps, temporary membranes, temporary enclosure) to prevent water intrusion.
- Managing exterior envelope tie-ins at roof-to-wall transitions, parapets, copings, penetrations, and edge metal.
- Coordinating concrete repair/restoration needed prior to waterproofing, roofing attachment, or window installation.
- Overseeing commercial window replacement/installation coordination where it impacts waterproofing, flashing, and envelope continuity.
- Ensuring proper flashing, waterproofing, sealants, and drainage details are installed to prevent leaks and callbacks.
- Driving required inspections, documentation, punch lists, and closeout for warranty and compliance.
QualificationsRequired
- Proven experience as a Project Manager—specifically in commercial or industrial roofing.
- Strong project management skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting, documentation, closeout).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; able to motivate teams and drive accountability.
- Thorough knowledge of roofing materials, manufacturer systems, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software/tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 70%.
Preferred (Updated)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction/Project Management or related field (preferred).
- Exterior envelopes experience (façade systems, roof-to-wall transitions, water intrusion mitigation).
- Waterproofing experience (membranes, coatings, sealants; above/below-grade coordination as applicable).
- Concrete repairs, including multi-structural concrete repairs in multi-story buildings (spalls, cracking, rebar corrosion mitigation, patch repairs, protective coatings).
- Commercial windows experience (installation/replacement coordination, flashing/glazing interfaces, water testing coordination).
- Demolition/reconstruction coordination experience (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Bonus: Experience using the FEV application (or similar field reporting/QA tools).
