Our client is seeking an experienced Director of IT to oversee technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, strategy, and team leadership across the organization. This is a fully onsite leadership role in Columbus, OH, responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, modernizing systems, and ensuring secure, reliable technology performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead IT operations including infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, helpdesk, and cloud services.
- Oversee IT budgets, forecasting, vendor management, and technology procurement.
- Manage IT policies, standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IT staff, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
- Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, system upgrades, automation, and process improvements.
- Partner with executive leadership to support digital transformation efforts and evaluate new technologies.
- Ensure strong cybersecurity posture through monitoring, risk assessments, incident response, and security best practices.
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and backup strategies.
- Collaborate with all departments to deliver high-quality support and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years in leadership.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), cybersecurity, and systems administration.
- Proven experience managing IT teams and leading organizational change.
- Experience developing IT budgets, roadmaps, and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics to executives.
