Role Summary
The Logistics Supervisor, Inbound oversees inbound receiving and inventory‑intake operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timely processing, and high team performance. This leader is hands‑on, process‑driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily inbound activities including unloading, verification, system receipt, labeling, staging, and putaway.
- Partner with the Logistics Manager to refine and improve inbound workflows.
- Plan labor and schedules based on volume and business priorities.
- Track and manage KPIs such as accuracy, dock‑to‑stock time, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate inbound expectations, ASNs, and delivery requirements with customers and internal teams.
- Coach team members, conduct meetings, and reinforce performance standards.
- Conduct evaluations and recommend performance recognition.
- Manage performance issues using consistent progressive discipline.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and company policies.
- Investigate damages, discrepancies, and shortages while leading root‑cause analysis.
- Provide onboarding, training, and tools for associates and leads.
Qualifications
- 3+ years supervisory experience in warehouse or 3PL environments.
- 3+ years experience in inbound receiving and inventory control.
- Proven experience managing employee performance.
- Familiarity with progressive discipline practices.
- Experience facilitating team and safety meetings.
- Experience investigating accidents and inventory discrepancies.
- Technical certification in logistics or related fields preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
