Duration: Contract 10 MonthsLocation: 4001 Lexington Ave N, Arden Hills, MN, USA, 55126Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMJob Description:- We are looking for a skilled Transportation Planner to manage planning/execution of outbound and inbound freight for three of our business divisions.
In this role you will partner with internal and external stakeholders such as carrier providers and multiple cross-functional teams to ensure that shipments are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.
This is a contract position based in Arden Hills, MN, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:- Daily shipments coordination for an assigned region within our three business units.
Collaborate with supply chain partners and external vendor partners to coordinate dry van, refrigerated and LTL shipments.
Communicate effectively with customer service, warehousing, deployment, and other supply chain operations teams.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and address potential delays proactively.
Conduct problem-solving activities to ensure that issues are addressed quickly and professionally.
Manage transportation events and enhance carrier utilization to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Facilitate all Transportation related activities, such as understanding freight bill payments and assisting Accounts payable in resolution, entering Transportation claims.
Required Experience & Education- 4-year degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics.
1+ Years of Logistics experience or related field.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Required Competencies & Other skills- Familiarity with transportation coordination and other transportation related activities.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and plan daily activities.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make timely decisions under pressure.
High attention to detail and ability to follow up on tasks diligently.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Must be comfortable with conflict management while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
Adaptability and flexibility on shifting priorities.
Experience with TMS systems.
Preferred Experience- OTM (a plus)
