SUMMARY:
The Logistics Specialist to become an integral part of the Corporate Division. The Logistics Specialist assists with the daily operations and activities of the Fleet, Equipment, and Facilities Department, which consists of office buildings, warehouses, restoration equipment, and hardware tools that are stored in these facilities, and the fleet management and maintenance of company-owned vehicles and trailers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to fleet vehicle maintenance and assessment activities
- Coordinate with the operations team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for projects and restocking of trucks and/or warehouses
- Aid with maintaining logistics planning tasks
- Scan equipment movements into the computer and track them across locations
- Deliver/Pickup equipment or other supplies as needed
- Maintain inventory control program systems
- Support the maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans, and similar data.
- Management and oversight of all field logistics, including vehicles, rentals, leases, electronic logs, budgets, policies, and requirements
- Participate in maintaining vendor relations as applicable
- Manage maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment
- Maintain documentation for hours of service and inspection reports
- Manage all permits, including vehicle registration, fuel reports, and trip reports
- Fleet license plate management and implementation activities
- Track vehicle asset records, maintenance history, mileage, and other fleet management details
- Keep management informed of accomplishments and ongoing issues; participate in achieving resolutions to identify areas of concern
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maintain a current DOT Medical Card
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Maintain a clean motor vehicle record
- Maintain an unexpired Class D driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics management or coordination
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
