We are seeking dedicated individuals to support community recovery efforts following recent severe weather events. As a Debris Monitor, you will serve as the "on-site" eyes and ears for the removal and disposal of disaster-generated debris. This is a vital role in helping restore local neighborhoods and ensuring the recovery process is documented accurately.

The role involves the comprehensive monitoring and documentation of debris removal activities across various sites, including collection points, disposal locations, waterways, and rights-of-way.
This position requires no physical labor. We are looking for self-motivated, responsible individuals who can prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate: $14.00/hour (Regular) | $21.00/hour (Overtime)
Schedule: Approximately 10–12 hours per day, 6 days a week (including weekends).
Duration: Temporary, "as needed" basis.
Oversee Loading: Monitor trucks, bobcats, and front-end loaders to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Accurate Documentation: Record truck load information, vehicle types, and debris classifications using handheld electronic devices and paper logs.
Field Monitoring: Observe trucks throughout the city to confirm contractors collect only eligible storm-related debris from public areas.
Professional Interaction: Communicate professionally with contractors, local officials, and the public.
Site Clearance: Ensure all eligible debris is picked up and that roadways/driveways are cleared before contractors move to the next location.
Reporting: Provide regular briefings on collection progress and any issues encountered to the project management team.
Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle available for full-day use (Gas/mileage reimbursement is not provided).
Driving Record: A clean driving record and successful Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Availability: Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week.
Documentation: Must provide valid I-9 documentation for employment verification.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency using smartphones and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to learn project-specific software.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills with high attention to detail.
Outdoor Work: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in adverse weather conditions (rain, extreme heat, or cold).
Terrain: Ability to walk on uneven terrain and climb stairs (truck rack ladders).
Environment: Working on-site near loud heavy equipment.
Note: This position is temporary and "at-will." Employment will conclude once the debris removal mission for the area is complete.
