Job Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the full supply chain process, including item lifecycle management, inventory control, demand planning, and sales analytics. This role ensures efficient flow of goods from vendors to retailers, supports sales operations, and maintains strong vendor and customer relationships. The position requires autonomy, critical thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments.
Core Purpose
To ensure suppliers and retailers are positioned for success by maintaining optimal inventory levels, enabling timely order fulfillment, and supporting smooth program execution through strong analytical skills that support high value autonomous decisions. The role also involves generating key performance metrics and providing actionable insights to vendors and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Manage inventory across warehouses, DCs, and stores to meet exact Weeks of Supply (WOS) targets.
- Monitor and adjust inventory to ensure product availability and minimize out-of-stocks.
- Review store and warehouse instock levels and validate product flow through the supply chain.
- Initiate and verify item setup to maintain data integrity.
Sales Analytics & Forecasting
- Analyze sales data and trends using NPE templates to identify item performance.
- Prepare weekly forecasts for front and back door sales.
- Review markup/markdown trends and shipment details to inform planning decisions.
- Review customer forecasts and provide insights to vendors.
Order & Program Management
- Access and review customer order data for accuracy, pricing, and compliance with minimum order quantities.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to confirm order details and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with sales teams on significant changes in order quantities.
- Support new program launches and maintain ongoing operational efficiency
Reporting & Communication
- Generate weekly sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics (e.g., fill rates, out-of-stocks).
- Upload reports and order data to proprietary dashboards.
- Attend vendor and customer calls as needed.
- Review and report customer complaints, quality scores, and invoice validations.
Decision-Making Authority
- Full autonomy to manage assigned programs within company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for all supply chain decisions for the partners/companies represented.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of shipping, distribution channels, inventory management and sales analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Strong soft skills: public speaking, organization, adaptability.
- Ability to manage high-pressure expectations and prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable operating in high-stress or ambiguous situations.
Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience: 1–3 years in logistics, supply chain, or related field
- Note: Experience is considered more valuable than formal education for this role.

- Ability to personally manage stress from high-pressure expectations and prioritization demands.
- Ability to arrive on time to in office requirements.
