Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Flatbed Freight Dispatcher located in Prairieville, LA. The day-to-day tasks of this role include coordinating and managing the schedules, dispatching trucks, and ensuring timely deliveries. The role also involves handling customer inquiries, providing quotes, exceptional customer service, maintaining communication with drivers, and ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Phone Etiquette and Communication skills
- Experience in booking & dispatching trucks based on commodity details
- Ability to maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with dispatch software and tools
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Math and Analytical Skills
- Excellent grammar and spelling
- Ability to analyze rates and provide accurate freight quotes
Base Pay: TBD Contingent on experience
Schedule:
Dispatch: Monday - Friday: 7:00am to 5:00pm (1 hour lunch; 1 early day; 1 Friday off per month)
On Call: One night per week and 1 weekend per month as we handle customer calls 24/7
