We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement and Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in procurement and logistics, with a desired background in power generation, solar energy technologies, EV charging stations, transformers, switchgear, and switchboards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services required for power generation projects, including EV charging stations, 500kVA transformers, switchgear, and switchboards.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management for a diverse range of products.
- Collaborate with our Inventory Manager to manage inventory levels and optimize stock levels to meet project requirements while minimizing excess inventory for various equipment including electrical components.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites, including managing the logistics of large-scale equipment transportation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and logistics partners to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of goods and services for a wide range of power generation equipment.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across all product categories.
- Lead the logistics team in managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to support project timelines and requirements for diverse products such as transformers, EV charging stations and other electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards in procurement and logistics operations for a variety of equipment and components.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with a focus on power generation, solar energy projects, EV charging stations, 500kVA transformers, switchgear, and switchboards.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors across multiple product categories.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as a solid understanding of supply chain management principles for various equipment types.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards in procurement and logistics for a diverse range of products.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment on a wide variety of projects.
