Director of Transportation Services – Florida
An established and fast-growing transportation consultancy is seeking a Director of Transportation Services to lead the planning, design, and delivery of highway and infrastructure projects across Florida. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth of the transportation practice, driving client development, proposal pursuits, and strategic partnerships
- Oversee technical quality, project delivery, and profitability of transportation contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with state DOTs, municipalities, and local agencies
- Direct and mentor engineering and project management staff, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
- Develop and execute business strategies including pursuits in conventional delivery, design-build, and P3 projects
- Represent the firm at top-level client meetings, negotiations, and professional organizations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering + Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
- 15+ years of diverse engineering experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership or management roles
- Proven track record delivering and winning highway/transportation projects with FDOT and local government agencies
- Strong client network in Florida, with ability to secure new contracts and expand relationships
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to integrate technical expertise into winning business strategies
