We are a
world-class manufacturing company seeking a
Mechanical Engineer to support a high-volume,
24/7 glass manufacturing operation. This is a
plant-floor engineering role, not a desk-only position. You'll work directly with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and throughput in a continuous manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for engineers who want
real ownership of equipment and processes, thrive in fast-paced operations, and are comfortable being hands-on in an active plant.
What You'll Do
- Support continuous manufacturing operations and critical equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and drive corrective actions
- Improve equipment reliability, safety, yield, and uptime
- Partner closely with maintenance technicians and operators on the plant floor
- Review production and maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities
- Support capital and continuous improvement projects
- Provide off-hours support as needed for critical plant issues
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (entry-level to early-career considered)
- Strong hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working in a 24/7 plant environment, including occasional nights or weekends
- Ability to work effectively with operations and maintenance teams
- CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred
- Experience in glass or continuous process manufacturing is a plus
