Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Analyst to plan, monitor, and optimize shipments across our global distribution network. This role focuses on delivering high customer service while managing transportation costs, carrier performance, and shipment execution across multiple modes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, track, and troubleshoot shipments across Truckload, LTL, Drayage, Ocean, Parcel, and Air
- Proactively resolve shipment disruptions related to weather, labor, or operational issues
- Manage carrier relationships, routing guides, KPIs, and freight documentation (BOL, SLI, SED, hazmat)
- Maintain and optimize shipment data in Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
- Coordinate delivery appointments with plants, distribution centers, and carriers
- Investigate shipment discrepancies, damage, and claims
- Support freight analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 2+ years of experience managing transportation providers, preferably for temperature-controlled products
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes and carrier regulations
- TMS experience required (Oracle OTM preferred)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Experience
- Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry
- Cold chain, CRT, hazardous materials, or controlled substance transportation
