Job Summary:

The IT Director is responsible for leading the organization’s information technology strategy, infrastructure, security, and operations. This role oversees IT teams, systems, and vendors to ensure technology solutions align with business goals, support scalability, and maintain a secure, reliable IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Provide leadership and direction to IT managers, engineers, and support teams.
Partner with executive leadership to drive digital transformation and technology innovation.

Infrastructure & Operations

Oversee network, systems, cloud platforms, and data center operations.
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems and services.
Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Define and enforce security policies, controls, and incident response procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR as applicable).
Manage vulnerability assessments, audits, and disaster recovery planning.

Applications & Systems

Oversee enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, and collaboration tools.
Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
Manage software licensing and vendor relationships.

Budgeting & Vendor Management

Develop and manage the IT budget, including capital and operational expenditures.
Negotiate contracts with technology vendors and service providers.
Track ROI and cost optimization initiatives.

Team Development

Hire, mentor, and develop IT staff.
Establish performance metrics, training programs, and succession planning.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Serve as the primary technology advisor to senior leadership and business units.
Translate business needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
8–12+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or management roles.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and IT service management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT).
Experience managing budgets, vendors, and large-scale technology projects.
