Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Trucking Dispatcher role located in Greater St. Louis. The Trucking Dispatcher will coordinate and manage the scheduling and dispatching of trucks to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods. Responsibilities include communicating with drivers, tracking shipments, addressing any logistical issues, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. The role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including ability to effectively coordinate with drivers and clients
- Experience in logistics, transportation management, or dispatch coordination
- Familiarity with transportation regulations, scheduling software, and data tracking tools
- Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills, especially in resolving logistical challenges
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently in an on-site role
- Proficiency with computer systems, including logistics and scheduling software
- Prior experience in supply chain management or related fields is an advantage
