We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role involves managing procurement, logistics, inventory control, and production planning to ensure seamless flow of materials and products. Responsibilities
- Own the purchasing, inventory, logistics, shipping/receiving and other Supply Chain activities
- Lead and develop a team supporting Supply Chain. 6 people directly report to you
- Create and implement clear standards, policies and procedures
- Oversee all Purchasing and Supply Management
- Lead negotiations for pricing and performance management as well as supplier selection
- Move current purchasing from transactional to a more strategic KPI driven function
- Monitor supplier performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business or other related discipline
- 5+ years Purchasing/Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong purchasing and inventory skills as well as people management/leadership experience
- Strong communication abilities.
- Excellent computer skills especially Excel. MRP/ERP experience
- Experience creating processes and well as tactical skills
- Experience with commodities such as fabricated metals, fabricated parts, aluminum excursion
