Job Title: Project Manager/Co-Ordinator
Location: 1345 6th Ave, NYC, NY (Day 1 On-Site- Hybrid Module
Duration: 11+ Month Contract (Through EOY and then On-Going)

Project Overview:
- Implementation of data governance platform - Alation.
- ASAP timeline; plan to kick off with Alation within the next 3 weeks.
Size of implementation:
- 100+ users across different business units.
- Supporting all 25 verticals.
- Rolling out/Implementation Alation should be quick; ~2 months since it’s cloud-based; initial focus on core platform deployment, next phase will be building out use cases and customizations on the platform.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage Data Governance implementation project internally; they are planning to use Alation directly for the implementation. This PM will work closely with the vendor throughout the project life cycle.
- Organize project internally, manage tasks, deliverables, project scope etc.
- Once implemented continue to support use cases for the application and PM any ongoing deliverables for Data Engineering/BI.
- Initially 80%+ on data governance project; 20% on other things.
- Coordinate with other stakeholders on business teams and his team over time.
- Manage 20+ stakeholders internally; will work closely with Ken’s teams – data engineering and BI.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of Project Management experience.
- Previous experience Project Managing a full lifecycle system implementation – 9+ month scope.
- Industry experience – finance preferred; will also consider other highly regulated industries.
Preferred:
· Data governance systems implementation.
Selling Points – They have never had a traditional PM before; the client wants someone who can bring ideas and best practices to help Fortress build proper PM processes.
Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Identify project milestones and critical success factors.
Team Coordination:
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members.
- Facilitate daily/weekly stand-up meetings and status updates.
- Monitor team performance and resolve resource conflicts.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
- Communicate project expectations, progress, and changes effectively.
- Manage stakeholder feedback and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Track and resolve project issues promptly.
- Maintain a risk and issue log throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget & Timeline Control:
- Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control.
- Track project timelines and ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to leadership.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee application testing, user acceptance, and deployment.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Coordinate post-implementation reviews and lessons learned.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Provide clear and concise project updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all project artifacts are archived for future reference.
