Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive, goal-oriented, and data-driven Industrial Engineer to drive process optimization and operational improvements within our manufacturing operations.
This role requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressive hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment and is not an entry-level position. The Industrial Engineer is expected to operate independently, identify opportunities without waiting for direction and take ownership of improvements from analysis through execution.
The successful candidate will maintain a strong presence on the production floor and partner closely with the VP of Operations and cross-functional leaders to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Operational Ownership
- Proactively analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, waste, and capacity constraints.
- Lead and execute process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Take ownership of improvement projects from concept through implementation and sustainment.
- Drive measurable improvements in throughput, labor efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.
Data Analysis & Performance Metrics
- Conduct time studies, work sampling, capacity analysis, and labor standard development.
- Analyze and monitor KPIs including OEE, labor efficiency, scrap, downtime, cycle time, and throughput.
- Use data and trend analysis to prioritize improvement opportunities and support leadership decisions.
- Clearly present findings, recommendations, and results to Operations leadership.
Production Flow, Layout & Ergonomics
- Design and optimize plant layouts, workstation ergonomics, and material flow to improve productivity and safety.
- Support line balancing takt time analysis, and production flow optimization.
- Partner with Production Planning and Operations to improve execution and scheduling effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to drive operational performance.

- Support consistency and discipline in process execution across departments.
Expectations (Critical)
The successful candidate will:
- Act proactively--identify and address problems.
- Be goal-oriented and execution-focused, not analysis only.
- Use data and metrics to drive decisions and justify improvements.
- Maintain a strong floor presence and understanding of real operations.
- Take ownership of results and follow through to completion.
- Partner with Operations leadership as a problem solver, not an observer.
