Additional Comments from Hiring Manager
The Manager prefers candidates with quantifiable achievements. When reviewing resumes, the manager looks for SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) results. Below are examples of strong and weak resume bullets:
- Weak example: “Created a dashboard to update automated master pricing, storage, and data retrieval.”
- Feedback: This doesn’t convey the impact of the action—did it save money, improve performance, etc.?
- Strong example: “Led four (4) lean DC projects within six months, reducing inventory by $27.3M (a 5% reduction) while maintaining a 96% OTIF rate to customers.”
- Feedback: This highlights measurable success within a specific time frame and demonstrates a clear business impact (cost savings and customer satisfaction).
