Position Summary
We’re seeking a skilled Pool Head Installer to lead fiberglass pool installations from dig to swim. You’ll supervise a crew, coordinate subcontractors, manage timelines, and ensure every project meets our quality standards.
We install Latham and Imagine Pools fiberglass shells—fiberglass experience is required. If you take pride in flawless installations and enjoy teaching others, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of fiberglass pool installation: excavation, set, backfill, plumbing, equipment, and startup
- Supervise a 3–5 person installation crew; train and develop team members
- Coordinate subcontractors including electrical, gas, concrete, and fencing
- Read and interpret plans; verify site conditions and utility locates
- Operate and manage equipment: excavators, skid steers, pumps, compactors
- Maintain labor efficiency (LEI ≥1.10); track hours daily in LMN
- Ensure quality control: level and plumb placement, proper backfill, watertight plumbing, and equipment functionality
- Complete punch lists within 7 days of substantial completion
- Communicate with clients on-site to ensure a positive experience and secure Google reviews
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily tailgate safety meetings
Requirements
- 8+ years of pool installation experience; fiberglass inground pool experience required
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of pool plumbing systems, filtration, pumps, heaters, and automation
- Heavy equipment operation experience (excavator, skid steer)
- Ability to read blueprints and site plans
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to work Saturdays during peak season
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000
- Performance Bonus: Based on labor efficiency, quality (no callbacks), and client reviews
- Signing Bonus: $5,000 (paid after 1 year)
