Shift/Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to coordinate and facilitate the shipment of goods from the production facility. This role partners closely with production, customer service, and planning teams to ensure shipping requirements are met while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage outbound shipments from the production facility
Maintain strong internal customer relationships, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally
Determine appropriate shipping methods, routes, and rates based on customer needs
Prepare daily shipments including paperwork, labels, bills of lading, invoices, and orders
Verify shipment counts, weights, and measurements against shipping documentation
Utilize systems including Oracle, Vista, and Excel for data entry and reporting
Contact and coordinate with trucking companies for daily transportation needs
Review daily shipping details with Plant team members
Produce international invoices and mailings
Provide freight forwarders with required documentation including SLIs and Commercial Invoices
Maintain organized shipping files and records
Manage ongoing relationships with logistics providers
Prepare and present shipping details upon request
Assist Customer Service Representatives as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field with 1–3 years of relevant experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience coordinating logistics and shipping operations
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a positive attitude under stress
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a union environment
Familiarity with international shipping documentation
Experience supporting plant or manufacturing operations
